A Winter Wedding at The Noelle in Nashville

As another winter wedding season approaches, I'm reminded why The Noelle is one of my favorite Nashville venues for a cold weather celebration. Chelsea and Chris's January wedding perfectly captured everything that makes winter weddings feel so timeless. The warm candlelight, thoughtful details, and an intimate atmosphere that guests won't soon forget brought the wedding to life.

From the moment I arrived, the space felt warm and full of character, with vintage Art Deco architecture and historic details throughout the hotel and lobby. Originally constructed in 1929, The Noelle has thoughtfully preserved the beautiful original elements like Tennessee pink marble, terrazzo floors, and brass fixtures. The Noelle is one of those venues that instantly makes a wedding day feel special.

For winter weddings especially, those historic details create a cozy elegance that's difficult to replicate. Chelsea and Chris embraced the season with a sophisticated stormy blue color palette, lush florals, and ornate books used as centerpieces. Every detail felt intentional, proving that winter weddings can be every bit as vibrant and luxurious as celebrations held during warmer months.

With around 90 guests, the hotel provided the perfect setting for an intimate evening. During cocktail hour, I painted while guests mingled nearby, and throughout the reception they stopped by to watch the painting come to life. One of my favorite parts of live wedding painting is seeing it become an experience for everyone, giving guests a chance to watch the artwork develop throughout the evening before it's presented to the couple. It was an honor to capture the moment Chelsea and Chris walked back down the aisle together, sharing a kiss as they exited. The warmth of the venue, paired with the emotion of the moment, made for a painting that truly reflected the beauty and intimacy of their wedding day.

Whether you're planning a cozy January celebration or a wedding during another season, The Noelle offers a timeless backdrop that always feels elegant and inviting. It's a venue I love returning to as a live wedding painter, and one that continues to inspire me every time I walk through its doors.
