A Meant-To-Be Painting at Belle Meade
Lori and Ben wanted a live painting that captured a quiet, meaningful moment during their wedding day– just the two of them outside of the Belle Meade Carriage House. But the real star of the show? Their sweet, fluffy dog Lily, who made the moment (and the painting!) feel even more personal and joyful.
One of my favorite behind-the-scenes stories actually happened before the wedding day even arrived. Lori had already booked me as a surprise for Ben—a heartfelt gift to capture their day in paint. But not long after, I received a message from Ben… hoping to do the exact same thing for Lori! It was one of those serendipitous, only-happens-in-rom-coms kind of moments. They both clearly knew each other SO well– it made the whole experience even more meaningful to witness and capture.
Guests stopped by throughout the evening to check in on the painting’s progress. Some smiled when they spotted Lily in the scene, while others told me how perfectly the painting reflected Lori and Ben’s style.
Lori and Ben, thank you for letting me be part of your story. From the double-surprise moment to the last laugh of the night, it was a joy to paint a scene that reflected your love and little family.
